Hi friend, I’m Melisa.
And before anything else, I want to say this: I see you and I hear you.
I know what it feels like to smile on the outside while breaking on the inside. I know the weight of pretending everything is fine when your soul is crying out for peace.
For years, I lived in silence, depression, and confusion, caught in the cycle of narcissistic abuse. I was a believer who loved God—but I was also a woman who was suffering in secret. Shame told me to stay quiet. Fear told me I’d never get free. Physical sickness told me I was bound.
But the truth of God’s Word broke through every lie. He stepped into my mess and began writing a story of redemption that only He could orchestrate.
What the enemy meant for destruction, God turned into a ministry of healing.
Through Setting the Captives Free, I now share my journey with women who are searching for courage to begin again.
This calling is more than a message—it’s a movement. My mission is to reach women who:
Feel stuck in toxic or abusive relationships
Have left abuse but still carry pain or unforgiveness
Are ready to reclaim their voice, worth, and purpose in Christ
Every story matters. Every soul deserves peace. Every heart deserves freedom.
My greatest joy is watching women realize they are not victims…
They are victors through Jesus Christ.
It is His power, not mine, that brings deliverance. I’m just a vessel, a voice reminding you that restoration is real and available to you.
I’ve seen God heal the brokenhearted, restore shattered identities, and bring purpose out of pain. He can do the same for you.
